A big Thank You to Comadre Maggie Castro and AARP for hosting us this month.

Mark your calendar for these 2019 dates:

Our January Comadrazo is also our Birthday Celebration, and will be at Institutional Investor with Comadre Maria Ferrer.  The address is 1120 Avenue of the Americas, 6th floor at 43rd Street.  Watch for email and Eventbrite invitation.  And, make sure to attend February’s Comadrazo as Las Comadres Founder Nora de Hoyos Comstock will be joining us.

WANTED!  We are looking for a couple of Comadres who can speak about financial planning at the next Chat with Las Comadres on Our Financial Health.  Please email Maria at ferrerm@aol.com.

HOSTS WANTED!  If your company can sponsor a Comadrazo for 15-25 people. Please let us know.
Job Opportunities. Please remember to let us know of any job opportunities, volunteer positions or upcoming events you come across that would be of benefit to a fellow Comadre.
Our Book of the Month is PATH TO THE STARS by Sylvia Acevedo.  It’s a powerful and inspiring memoir of a young girl who reached the stars as a rocket scientist.  We also have a Conversations With Book – SNOW FALLING by Jane Gloriana Villanueva. If you follow the TV drama, Jane the Virgin, this is Jane’s book.  We’ll be speaking with Comadre Caridad Pieiro regarding the book.

Register now for the LIVE! Interviews / Teleconference on Monday, December 10, 8pm EST.  Sign up TODAY at www.latinolit.com and you may win a free book.  Listen in on the conversation at home, at work, out with friends. Listen in as you wash dishes or have dinner or hang out with your Comadres.  AND, join the simultaneous Twitter Chat by following @ReadLatinoLit and using hashtag #ReadLatinoLit.

We wish you and yours the happiest of Holidays.  Feliz Navidad and Happy New Year!
